History
In 1948 Andrea's grandparents fell in love with the view from the farm situated on the bluff overlooking Little Muncy Creek. They bought the property. At that time there was no electricity or indoor plumbing in the home; water was carried in from an exterior hand pump. It had a cook stove for heat and a crank party-line telephone.
During that time Andrea lived with her grandparents who cared for Bessie the milk cow, calves named Thunder and Lightening, a personable young steer called Ambrose, chickens, ducks and pigs to feed the family; a true working farm of the era. The family has been improving the property ever since.
Andrea's grandfather, Mr. Jack Tescier, a (Potowatomi tribe) French/Native American, soon installed indoor plumbing, central heat and electricity in the original house. The home in its current rendition now has WiFi, geothermal heat and excellent pure water. The township named the road on which the homestead sits Tescier Road for her grandparents.
